Rate source
Currency pairs are requested from Frankfurter, an open-source service that aggregates daily rates from central banks and other official sources. Its public API requires no key. The calculator displays the date returned with each rate.
Why your payment may be different
Reference rates do not include a bank, card network, exchange counter or transfer provider's spread, fees or settlement timing. Rates can change after the reference date. Check with your provider before making a payment or exchanging money.
What happens if rates are unavailable?
If the rate service is unavailable or does not return a valid result, the calculator shows an error rather than substituting an old or estimated rate. Converting an amount into the same currency does not require an external rate.
